TCN, a major contribution to development
- The new TCN terminal will contribute significantly to the economic development of Mauritania
- The port (PANPA) accounts for almost all the imports for the domestic market (agri-food, energy and construction products, consumables, …)
- The port also participates in the development of export sectors (fishing, mining, …)
- The TCN will also create new opportunities for regional trade, particularly with Mali for import and export (e.g. cotton) traffic as the country explores new sources of supply as an alternative to the congested Port Autonome of Dakar, Senegal.
